Returns, Refunds & Warranty
What you can send back, when, and how a warranty claim works.
Last updated 22 August 2026 · Version 2026-08-22
Return window
You may request a return within 30 days of delivery. The unit must be in resalable condition, complete with all included hardware and packaging, and undamaged.
Start every return with the support form. Returns sent back without being agreed first may be refused or delayed, because we cannot match an unexpected package to an order.
What we refund
Approved returns are refunded to the original payment method once we have received and inspected the unit. Original shipping is refunded only where the return is our fault — a defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped item.
Return shipping is yours to pay unless the return is our fault. We recommend a tracked service; until it reaches us, the unit is your responsibility.
Restocking and used units
A unit that has been installed and removed is still returnable within the window if it is undamaged and complete. We may reduce a refund to reflect a reduction in the unit's value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish whether it works.
Arrived damaged or faulty
Tell us through the support form as soon as you can, with your order number, serial number, and photographs. Keep the packaging — carrier claims usually require it. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund.
Limited warranty — 12 months
Hardware is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from delivery. We will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion. Claims need your serial number and order number.
- Not covered: damage from incorrect installation, wiring, or power source.
- Not covered: accident, misuse, liquid ingress, or unauthorised modification.
- Not covered: cosmetic wear that does not affect function.
- Not covered: units with a removed or altered serial number.
Third-party changes are not a product defect
Spooled Dash displays data produced by third-party tuning platforms — including DynoSpectrum (DS1) and MHD. Spooled Racing is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with DynoSpectrum, MHD, Audi, BMW, or any vehicle manufacturer. Those names are used only to describe what our product is compatible with.
Those platforms are developed and controlled entirely by other companies. They can change, update, restrict, or discontinue their software, firmware, data formats, protocols, or connection methods at any time, without notice to us and without our agreement. Any such change may reduce Spooled Dash's functionality, or stop it working with your setup altogether.
You accept that this risk exists and is outside our control. A loss of compatibility caused by a change to third-party software is not a defect in your product, and does not on its own entitle you to a refund, a replacement, or a warranty repair.
We will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore compatibility through software updates where we can. We cannot promise that restoring compatibility will be technically possible, that it will be possible within any particular timeframe, or that it will be possible at all — and in some cases the third party's own decisions will make it impossible.
The same applies to your vehicle. Manufacturer software updates, ECU replacements, changes to your tune, and modifications to your vehicle's electronics can all affect whether Spooled Dash works.
