Who we are
Spooled Racing is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us through the support form on this website.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to sell you a product and support it.
- Support requests: your name, email address, product serial number, order number, and the vehicle and setup details you choose to tell us.
- Orders: your name, email, billing and shipping address, and order contents — collected and processed by Shopify.
- Payment details: handled entirely by Shopify. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Website analytics: aggregated, privacy-preserving usage and performance data from Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.
- Local storage: your cart contents, and — if you accepted our terms at checkout — a record of which version you accepted and when.
Why we use it
To process and ship your order, to answer your support requests, to honour warranty and return claims, to improve the product and the website, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
Who else processes it
We keep the list of third parties short, and each one has a specific job.
- Shopify — storefront, checkout, payment processing, and order records.
- Vercel — website hosting and privacy-preserving analytics.
- Our email provider — delivering and storing support correspondence.
- Shipping carriers — delivering your order.
Cookies and similar technology
This website sets a cookie only where it is needed to make the site work — for example the preview-access cookie while the site is not yet public. Your cart and your terms acceptance are stored in your browser's local storage, not sent to us as cookies.
Shopify sets its own cookies during checkout, governed by Shopify's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. Support correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for warranty and service history — normally the life of the warranty plus a reasonable period. Analytics data is aggregated and not tied to you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.
To exercise any right, use the support form. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows.
Children
This website and our products are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and changes
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
